Red Hand Clan ExposéAlmost a year has passed since Nerana first saw Red Hand Clan members. A lot has changed since then – and RHC is changing too. With the start of the year 2009 we are setting a new path for ourselves. The Guild has an ambition to gather a specific circle of people. Let us look at it in more detail...
Red Hand Clan’s main reason for existence is role-playing. We believe that not levels and skills are most important in Tibia, but friendship, trust, cooperation and – first of all – having fun!
(Remember – if You already are a member – to stop by the “funny talk” topic with some crazy memories written down ;D and perhaps post something Yourself). This is why we won’t accept just anyone into our ranks. We don’t need thousands of members, but we will gladly invite all the sensible souls out there. In return we offer a steadily growing community that is bound strongly together.
We don’t want to be active just by definition on Tibia’s webpage. That is why Red Hand Clan makes monthly evaluation of it’s members, adjusting the ranks according to their current activity – game play, chatting on the Guild Channel, adventuring with other clannies. The last aspect on the list – payments: Red Hand Clan owns a Hill Hideout Guild Hall hidden below Femor Hills for which it has to pay, obviously. There is also a possibility that an excess of gold may be used for supplies for Guild Quests or Events. That is why we collect a specific amount from each member – but do not fear, the payments tend to be very low.
There are several paradigms underlying Red Hand Clan’s functioning:
1.
Play safe – the game is supposed to be fun for everyone. This is why Red Hand Clan expects its members to be reasonable, for example: try to choose monsters, which You can handle. A death of a character doesn’t only affect the owner, but in a guild full of members who care about each other – practically everyone. We DO care and that’s why we’ll try to help, if we receive a message about danger or an actual death (at least to get the loot back). However, there is no use to help if You have great chances to be killed Yourself, so before You rush in – think if You’ll be able to help or will just complicate the situation. This refers both to jumping into a cave full of monsters and insulting a possible lurer. Try to resolve everything peacefully, because quarreling could only lead to revenge on You and all other Red Hand Clan members.
"Play safe" also refers to keeping Your account safe - please be sure to store Your login, password and recovery key in a safe place (NOT on e-mail) and do not show it to anyone. No real GM will ever ask You neither for them, nor for logging in to any webpage that is not www.tibia.com - so be careful, as hackletters and PMs from false GMs are very common. Be sure to protect your computer by updating the anti-virus program and by having a firewall set up. And do not log in on any other computer - it might happen, that a PC of Your best friend is infected and by logging in on it - You will loose Your account.
2.
Be tolerant – Red Hand Clan consists of people from different countries, in various age, both girls and boys and so on. We expect that for RHC members it won’t matter, who is who in real life. This is a GAME and this is a ROLE-PLAYING guild, which means everyone can play any role, as long as his/her actions won't offend other people. Try to be reasonable.
3.
Socialize – Tibia is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), which means, that it was created in such a way, that characters may – and should – interact. On non-pvp worlds this is carried out by chatting, making friends, trading, hunting together. If You do not wish to experience some or all of those treats, You do not need a guild and maybe even You can play some “better”, offline games. If You don’t need us – we don’t need You. Red Hand Clan expects its members, therefore, to chat from time to time on the Guild Channel AND read and post on the Guild forum.
4.
Stay “clean” – perhaps the most important topic these days. Red Hand Clan strives to be one of the most trusted guilds on Nerana. We do not accept cheating in general – from bug and game weakness abuses (no teleporting!), through multi-clienting, hacking, account trading & sharing, luring (again: non-pvp world!), stealing (even though this doesn’t violate Tibia’s, it does violate RHC’s Rules), to using unofficial software to play. The last point is especially worth pointing out. By using any external program (doesn’t matter if only for botting or for level spying/any other activity or treat not provided by the standard Tibia client - taskers are illegal too, as well as putting stones on the keyboard to automatically cast spells) You’re unbalancing the game AND exceeding the rights given to You by the creator of the game. As this is his intellectual property, it is not only breaking Tibia Rules, but most probably – also the law in Your country. Would You like to be called and treated not like a “botter”, but like a criminal? However, we are here not for judging You in general – those are Your choices, Your conscience and consequences. Now, with the new system developed by CIP, we hope it will become clear in time who are the “bad guys” in the game. This is why we might be willing to forgive past mistakes, if:
- they were not too severe
- the Clan members will still trust the former lawbreaker AND
- if he/she has already stopped the mischief.
If CIP is able to forgive – so can we. As they say: “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone” (famous quote from Bible - John 8:1-11).
Just to sum it up: Red Hand Clan is all about trust, friendship, fun and role-playing. It exist for all the members so that they can get the most out of Tibia. If You wish to know how it’s like – contact one of Helping Hands or the Leadership for a chance to join in the fun. In behalf of all Red Hand Clan Leadership,
Maribeth
